Review

Lying in the bowels of The Clarence Hotel, famed due to its connections with U2's Bono and The Edge, The Liquor Rooms is a huge venue set across a series of four interconnecting rooms.

The first room, named 'Black Rabbit' (this is something of a rabbit warren) has a burlesque circus feel. This is always open while adjoining rooms, each with a different theme of décor, only open late week. While the other rooms have hidden corners and snugs, our favourite spot is one of the bartender's tables each side of the bar in this first room.

The Liquor Rooms may have a dance floor and be set out on the scale of a night club but here cocktails are taken seriously, as testified by the line-up of bartending awards on the back bar.
